For the second year, the Magazine «  Terre de Vins » has organised the « Trophées Bordeaux Vignoble Engagé » (litt : Trophy Bordeaux Engaged Vineyard).

This award ceremony has for purpose to valorize the environmental initiatives in Bordeaux region. This year there were 275 estates and châteaux participating in the competition of which 100 were nominated. (press article Terre de Vins)

And guess who got the Golden trophy in « Innovation et Avenir » category ? (litt : Innovation and future)

Our project of disease-resistant grape varieties !

For 6 years we have been working to get the administration and the wine professionals to accept these varieties. The result is beyond doubt : on 32 acres of vines, we are able to reduce of 80 to 90% the pesticide treatment and, of course treat only with organic products.

 

Our cuvee Métissage is the exemple of what the disease-resistant grape varieties  are able to produce: delicious wines with great environment benefits

We also take the opportunity to congratulate the other winners  : Rousseau Vineyards who have the ambition to do in-house training and equal pay, Château Lapelletrie who protect its wildlife especially the bats,  Château Nodot for its sustainable viticulture in biodynamic farming, and Wine merchant Jules Lebègue who choose to stop buying wine of vineyard that are treated with too dangerous molecules.
