Château Jacques Noir
Major work has been carried out both in the vineyard and in the cellar to restore this charming little estate, which was purchased by our family in 2001. Located in the eastern part of the appellation, its terroir reveals all the finesse of Merlot, the king of grape varieties on the right bank.
According to legend, this château was originally the hideout of a squire nicknamed ‘Le Noir’ (The Black) because of his armour and his nocturnal expeditions. It was here that he lodged with his henchmen, who were winegrowers by day and brigands by night.
